Dr. Pamela Pruitt (she/her/hers), is President and Facilitator of THE NEXT LEVEL CONSULTING, LLC.  She has an extensive and diverse background in media and marketing, having held significant positions at Motown Records/Jobete (Jo-bet) Music Company, CBS Television, Warner Bros. Records, Delta Air Lines, ABC Radio Networks, New Jersey State Council on the Arts, CBS/Westwood One, the Wall Street Journal Radio Network, WIMG/Morris Broadcasting of NJ, Inc., and Rider University.

Dr. Pruitt is primarily the Manager Community Connections for the Capital Health Institute for Urban Care in Trenton, New Jersey, where she is responsible for developing and implementing community impact strategy for Trenton with the goal of nurturing strong, positive community relationships, and finding mutually beneficial opportunities to work together with key community leaders and organizations to further the Capital Health mission. She is also a guest lecturer for the Byrne Seminar at the School of Communication & Information (SC&I) at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

Dr. Pruitt received her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Her dissertation entitled, “How First-Year College Leadership Programs Influence Students’ Behavior and Attitudes in Order to Promote Civic Engagement through Democratic Dialogue and Democratic Deliberation,” was published by ProQuest. She achieved her Master of Communication and Information Studies (MCIS) from Rutgers in 2012, having studied abroad in Oxfordshire England at Wroxton College of Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 2010 she received her BA in Communications and her Associate in Arts in 2009 from Thomas Edison State University. Dr. Pruitt recently received her Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the HARVARDKennedy School, after completing three of its executive leadership programs.


She participated in a Grammy Award-winning CD (2008 for 2007) by Ne-Yo (Knee-Yo) entitled, “Because of You.” Her song (as Pamela Moffett), “Baby Come Close,” can be heard as the background music for his song, “Leaving Tonight,” featuring Jennifer Hudson. She has written songs for Smokey Robinson, the Supremes and others. She has also produced and hosted her own television show, “Let’s Do Lunch with Pamela,” and she authored a training manual entitled, “Train the Trainer,” for the Delta Air Lines’ Automation team as Pamela Young. She is currently editing her book relating to her survival of the events on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center complex in New York City.

Dr. Pruitt is a recognized community leader in the City of Trenton, New Jersey and serves on boards, including the Trenton Health Team (THT), the Capital Area YMCA, McCarter Theater, and the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, and committees for local and national organizations. She also serves as Chair for the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) Northeast Tri-State Chapter (NY/NJ/PA). She has received numerous awards and commendations and was selected as one of “Twelve Women to Watch” by the Times Picayune [Pick-e-yoon] in New Orleans, Louisiana.
